Takayama Sum Up!

Hey guys!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to post many pictures when I was away. We had terrible internet :(
Anyway, I have been back home now for one week and in this time I've been able to really think about all the memories I made on my grade 11 field studies.
Every year, before we leave we all anticipate what kind of field studies we have. The previous ones we have been on have been very eventful and in some ways intense. This isn't to say that Takayama was not eventful because we did loads of things in one day! however, it was a field studies which gave us 11h graders, a relaxing break from technology, and the every day stresses we come across. I feel like this year we all grew closer as a grade. We were able to through activities that gave us the opportunity to talk to other people (such as the scavenger hunt) or cultural experiences (such as Zazen).  Not only did we get the opportunity to get to know each other and break from our everyday demands, we grew closer to our tutors. I am really glad that we all took away so much from this trip!

I've attached some pictures that I was looking through, of things that I will remember from this trip.

well, overall takayama was really fun(: we did lots of visiting temples and experienced the different culture/feeling of takayama.
we also experienced, zazen (20 minutes of sitting), dyed handkerchiefs and made our own osenbe!!
seeing the world heritage site, shirakawagou was also interesting - especially seeing how the people used to live!
and mostly - the YUMMY FOOD! i love the osenbe, manjyuu, mitarashi-dango, the hida-gyuu (hida beef) and much much more!

our last field studies was awesome!! (:
